Application Overview
Parts and selection points for Heavy-Duty Trucks
Class 8 trucks such as the Volvo VNL/VNM, Mack Vision/Granite and Mercedes-Benz Actros run long hours under high engine load, so cooling and AC parts take constant heat and vibration. A leaking radiator or failed condenser takes a revenue-earning truck off the road. Truck repair buyers look for exact engine-specific fitment, a durable core build and warranty backing.
- Select the radiator by truck model, engine displacement and year, e.g. Volvo VNL/VNM or Mack Vision/Granite 10.8L, 11.9L or 12.8L engines from 2008-2014.
- Choose aluminum tube-and-fin cores that handle the vibration and thermal cycling of long-haul duty without seam leaks.
- Confirm inlet/outlet positions and mounting brackets match the OE unit so the radiator bolts straight into the existing frame.
- Check that the condenser has passed pressure and thermal performance testing, since truck AC systems run at sustained high head pressure.
